Art Deco Circa 1920-1930

Ushering in a new era the Art Deco style is reflected not only in jewelry but also in the exterior and interior design elements of buildings of the time.  Inspired by contemporary artists of the period jewelers began creating many stylish designs that are once again being appreciated today for their uniqueness.  It is characterized by its geometric forms, straight lines, as well as sharper bright colors reflecting a carefree lifestyle unlike the earlier Victorian era.

The Art Deco style brings back memories of black and white film clips of the roaring 20's featuring speakeasies, prohibition and free spirited lifestyle of the times.  It was an era of overall prosperity that allowed a growing market of women to be able to enjoy fashionable jewelry made of yellow gold, white gold and platinum that previous generations only could dream of.
